In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
