Locals observed giant hailstones as large as 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Emergency crews were attempting to repair energy supply throughout the impacted areas, with dozens of response units working to address the widespread outages.

Victoria's Weather Woes

Meanwhile, around one thousand households in the southern state also encountered power outages after the capital city recorded its heaviest rainfall in a year and a half.

Rescue organizations received over five hundred calls for help across the area, primarily for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Meteorological Predictions

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.

Tuesday was forecast to be the most rainy day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both regions.

Safety Concern

Medical authorities warned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
